As a welder, you are responsible for independently performing high-quality welding work on complete sections and components within the yacht and shipbuilding industry. You work based on technical drawings and welding instructions and ensure that the welds meet the specified quality requirements.
Your duties include, among others:
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings and welding instructionsInspecting workpieces for shape, dimensions, and cleanliness
- Tack welding and finishing welding of structures and components
- Preparing and clamping workpieces
- Moving materials and tools if necessary
- Performing welding work according to the correct procedures
During welding, you pay attention to:
- Removing slag residues and weld spatter and cleaning the weldUsing the correct preheating temperature (if necessary)
- Preventing welding defects such as crater cracks, bonding defects, and burn-in notches
- Controlling deformation by not welding too heavily
- Gouging and grinding seams if necessary
- Visual inspection of the weld for quality, dimensions, and deformation
Communication on the shop floor takes place in Dutch or English.

We are looking for experienced welders with:
- Proven experience in yacht and/or shipbuilding
- Experience with aluminium welding, preferably carbon steel
- Valid welding certificate:
- MIG Aluminium Welding (GMAW / 131)
- Welding positions:
- Butt Welds: PA (1G), PC (2G), PE (4G), PF (3G)
- Fillet Welds: PA (1F), PB (2F), PD (4F), PF (3F)
- Certificates issued by an IACS-accredited agency, such as:Lloyd’s RegisterBureau Veritas DNV Valid stamping lists (to be submitted at the start and uploaded with CV)
- Good command of Dutch or English
Required: Valid Dutch VCA certificate (or obtainable within 14 days)
- Working on high-quality projects within luxury yacht building
