Summary
Are you a certified Aluminium Welder with experience in yacht or shipbuilding? For a leading shipyard, we are seeking skilled professionals who can independently weld aluminium structures and sections to the highest quality standards. You will work on exclusive superyachts where precision and craftsmanship are essential.
About the function

As an Aluminium Welder, you are responsible for welding aluminium structures and complete sections for luxury superyachts. You work based on technical drawings and welding instructions and ensure that all welding work meets the strictest quality and tolerance standards. In addition to performing the welding work, you continuously monitor the quality of your own work and collaborate closely with colleagues within production.

Your duties include:

  • Reading and interpreting technical drawings and welding instructions.
  • Welding aluminium structures and complete sections using MIG (131).
  • Tack welding and finishing welding of parts and structures.
  • Checking dimensions, weld seams, and deformations.
  • Grinding, finishing, and, if necessary, gouging weld seams.
  • Ensuring a neat, safe, and organized workplace.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to deliver projects on schedule and according to quality requirements.

What we need
  • Demonstrable experience as an Aluminium Welder within the yacht or shipbuilding industry.
  • Valid MIG Aluminium (GMAW 131) welding certificates.
  • Welding certificates issued by an IACS-accredited classification society, preferably Lloyd's Register, Bureau Veritas, or DNV.
  • Experience welding aluminium; experience with carbon steel is a plus.
  • Ability to independently read technical drawings and welding instructions.
  • An eye for quality, dimensions, and finish.
  • Good command of the Dutch or English language.
  • In possession of a valid Dutch VCA certificate or willing to obtain one within 14 days of starting.
