As a heavy equipment mechanical technician, you’ll work daily on dismantling, overhauling, and rebuilding large machines in the Peest (Assen region) workshop. You’ll use specialized tools to work on hydraulic systems, perform heavy-duty mechanical work, and ensure all tasks are done safely and according to specifications. Occasionally, you’ll travel abroad to dismantle or rebuild machines on-site—a great way to break up the routine of workshop work. A typical day starts with a short briefing before you and your colleagues get to work. You’ll face various technical challenges such as disconnecting hydraulic hoses, using torque wrenches, and preparing components for transport. You’ll work independently and as part of a team, always focusing on safety, quality, and collaboration.
