For a project in yacht building, we are looking for an experienced Fitter / Pipe Fitter / Small Pipe Worker to join the team at the CSR Hijplaat site. In this position, you will work on the piping of high-quality yachts and contribute to installations where quality, precision, and craftsmanship are key. The start date of the project is March 9, 2026, and the duration has not yet been determined.

Over the years, they have completed approximately 700 projects and installed more than 2,350 kilometers of piping. Their systems include everything from simple bilge and ballast systems to advanced fuel systems that use LNG, methanol, ammonia, or hydrogen. As a fitter, you are responsible for measuring, preparing, and assembling piping on board. You work with various materials such as stainless steel, cunifer, steel, and aluminum, and ensure that all parts are assembled accurately according to drawings and specifications. You read technical drawings, P&IDs, and isometric drawings to construct piping systems correctly. The work includes fitting thin-walled pipes, assembling flanges, bends, and other pipe components, and installing hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
An important part of the work is preparing piping for welding. You will cut and bevel pipes, carry out welding preparations, and perform TIG tack welding where necessary. In addition, you will work with various metalworking techniques such as sawing and grinding, and bend pipes using a bending machine. During your work, you will take into account the quality requirements, for example in terms of finish, squareness, and alignment. You will also carry out tests, such as pressure testing pipework, to check that systems are functioning correctly.
You will work both independently and in tandem with a colleague. Within the project, you will be expected to work accurately and in a structured manner and to take responsibility for the quality of the end result. You will work with various systems and components such as Roxtec, Geberit Mepla, Geberit Mapress, Viega Sanpress, and Viega Profipress. In addition, knowledge of fittings, flanges, gaskets, stud bolts, schedules, and couplings is important in order to perform the work properly.
For this position, we are looking for a professional with experience as a fitter or pipe fitter in installation technology or shipbuilding. It is important that you can read technical drawings, work independently, and have a strong focus on quality. A VCA certificate is mandatory, and you must be able to communicate in Dutch or English.
You will work a full-time schedule of 46.5 hours per week, spread over four working days. Two days you will work from 6:30 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. and two days from 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. There is no work on weekends.
