Pipefitter – new yacht building VL 831 – Pernis
For project VL 831 at Greenport in Pernis, we are looking for 6 fitters for the installation of prefabricated piping in the new build of a yacht.
Duties: Installation of prefabricated piping according to isometric drawings. Materials: Stainless steel, steel, Cunifer, and small diameters ABS, copper, and stainless steel. You read and interpret technical drawings, measure coordinates on the ship, and tack your work yourself.
Knowledge & skills
- Steel, stainless steel and Cunifer
- Making brackets, including Stauf brackets
- Assembling components and fittings
- Reading and interpreting P&ID and isometric drawings
- Measuring coordinates in the ship
- Installing flange connections, bends, and other pipe components
- Fitting thick-walled and thin-walled pipes
- Knowledge of fittings, pipe material, flanges, gaskets, stud bolts, schedules, pressure classes, and couplings
- Working with Roxtecs (certified)
- Sawing and grinding
- Spatial insight
- Quality-oriented work: finish, dimensions, perpendicularity, parallelism, butt mounting of flanges and high-low
- Working safely and neatly in finished spaces
Requirements
- Valid VCA certificate
- Ability to work with a 3D browser
- Can tack weld
- Proficiency in English (working language Dutch/English)
- Experience in yacht building / new construction is a plus.
Working hours: Mon-Thu 06:30–16:15, Fri 06:30–15:15. 44 hours per week. Normally no Saturday/Sunday.
Other: Independent work (not in pairs). Work location: Greenport, Pastorieweg 1, Pernis.

- Proven experience as a pipefitter, preferably in yacht building or shipbuilding (new construction)
- Able to read and interpret technical drawings, P&ID diagrams and isometric drawings independently
- Able to work with a 3D browser
- Capable of tack welding
- Experience with stainless steel, steel and Cunifer, and with small diameters in ABS, copper and stainless steel
- Able to measure and read coordinates on board the ship
- Roxtec certified
- Valid VCA certificate
- Good command of English (working language on site is Dutch/English)
- Accurate and quality-focused, with good spatial awareness
- Able to work independently (work is carried out alone, not in pairs)
- Available for 44 hours per week: Monday to Thursday 06:30–16:15, Friday 06:30–15:15
- A long-term assignment on the new build of superyacht VL 831 at Greenport in Pernis, with the prospect of extension — the end date is open and the project runs well beyond the start
- 44 hours per week, with a fixed and predictable schedule: Monday to Thursday 06:30–16:15 and Friday 06:30–15:15. Weekend work is normally not required
- Hourly rate of € […] gross, plus overtime allowances in accordance with the applicable collective labour agreement
- Accommodation arranged and taken care of by Linqk
- Transport to and from the shipyard arranged by Linqk
- Work clothing and personal protective equipment (PPE) provided
- Assistance with all Dutch administration: BSN registration, DigiD, health insurance and payroll
- Work on a high-end superyacht project with a professional team, using modern methods including 3D browser
