As a Mechanical Foreman, you play a crucial role in the construction process of superyachts. You lead a team of about 10 mechanics, both full-time employees and contracted workers. You are responsible for coordinating the installation and commissioning of mechanical systems aboard the engine room of our luxury yachts. A typical day involves planning and task distribution within your team, consulting with our partners and subcontractors in the Rotterdam area, and ensuring all work meets the highest quality and safety standards. With a team of around 50 employees in the Mechanical Department, they ensure that every yacht leaving the shipyard meets the highest quality standards. Minimum a completed MBO-3 or MBO-4 education in metalworking or mechanical technology. 5 years of leadership/coordinating experience in a production environment. Ability to read complex technical drawings (3D). Good communication and coordination skills. Preferably a VCA for operational leadership (VOL) diploma or willingness to obtain it. Proficiency in using software such as MS Outlook, Word, and Excel. Good command of the Dutch and/or English language.
