As a finishing ironworker, you work on board ships or inside sections during the new build phase. You receive technical drawings for foundations and structures and ensure that these are accurately positioned and welded according to specifications.

Your duties include, among others:

• Reading and interpreting technical drawings
• Positioning and assembling frames, foundations and small ironwork
• Performing welding work with MAG (135) and electrode (111)
• Metalworking such as grinding and drilling
• Ensuring a tidy and safe workplace
• Contributing to finding solutions during the work process

After placing and welding the foundations, you ensure they are ready for further outfitting, so that other parties can install and connect components. In this way, you make an important contribution to a fully operational ship.

• Experience as a metalworker, preferably in shipbuilding
