As an independent pipe fitter, you are responsible for fabricating and assembling plastic piping systems on board high-end vessels and yachts. You work from overview drawings and isometrics and ensure that the piping meets the specified requirements regarding dimensions, quality, and safety.

Your duties consist of:

• Reading and interpreting overview drawings and isometrics
• Independently fabricating and assembling plastic pipe sections
• Pre-processing and bracing pipes
• TIG welding bracing
• Performing intermediate and final inspections
• Keeping piping capped
• Release work to the welder and/or foreman

Additionally:

• You work in accordance with applicable safety, health, and environmental standards
• You keep your workplace clean and organized
• You operate and maintain machines and tools correctly
• You report malfunctions to the supervisor in a timely manner
• You continuously monitor the quality of the piping and components

You also play an active role in improving processes and address colleagues regarding unsafe situations.

We are looking for an experienced and independent pipe fitter with:

• At least 5 years of experience as a pipe fitter (synthetic/soft) within yacht or shipbuilding
• Demonstrable experience working independently from drawings
• Good knowledge of overview drawings and isometrics
• Experience with tack welding (TIG)
• Knowledge of materials and systems such as:
• ABS synthetic piping system
• Flowfit
• Mapress
• Good command of Dutch and/or English

Valid Dutch VCA certificate (or obtainable within 14 days)

• Working on high-quality projects within luxury yacht building
