About the function

As a Pipefitter, you'll be involved in the construction and installation of pipelines for fuel and oil systems, as well as cooling and exhaust systems on luxury yachts under construction. You'll manufacture and install piping mainly using steel, stainless steel, cunifer, and aluminum. Your work is crucial for the efficient operation of the ship's systems.

Your day starts with analyzing technical drawings and taking measurements on board. You'll then fabricate the pipes by sawing, welding with flange connections, soldering, and pressing. You will work mainly in the engine room and technical areas of the yacht. Alongside your team, you'll ensure that everything fits accurately and perfectly.

What we need
  • Completed technical education at MBO level 4
  • 2 to 10 years of work experience, preferably in the maritime sector
  • Knowledge and experience in reading technical drawings and the TIG welding process
  • Results-oriented, a good team player, loyal, orderly, and solution-oriented
  • Preferably living in the Monnickendam area (within a 30 km radius)
What we offer
  • Competitive salary above the Metalektro collective labor agreement wage scale, depending on experience
  • Temporary contract with the prospect of permanent employment
  • With full-time employment, 40 days off per year (27 vacation days + 104 ADV hours)
  • 8% holiday pay and a year-end bonus of 1.5%
  • Continuity bonus with no sick leave

  • Travel allowance based on public transport (max. €9.50 per day)
