Summary

Are you an experienced Soft Piping Pipefitter with experience in synthetic piping systems in yacht or shipbuilding? For a leading shipyard in Papendrecht, we are seeking an independent craftsman capable of fabricating and installing synthetic piping systems on board luxury superyachts. You will work on high-quality projects where quality, precision, and craftsmanship are paramount.

About the function

As a Pipefitter (Soft Piping), you are responsible for independently fabricating and assembling plastic piping systems on board luxury superyachts. You work from overview and isometric drawings and ensure that all piping is constructed and assembled accurately according to specifications. You monitor the quality of your work and adhere to the highest safety and quality standards.

Your duties include, among others:

Reading and interpreting overview and isometric drawings.
Independently fabricating and assembling plastic piping.
Mounting pipe clamps and supports.
Attaching clamps and preparing piping.
Checking dimensions and quality during and after assembly.
Keeping piping capped to prevent contamination.
Monitoring the quality of piping and components.
Reporting deviations and malfunctions to the supervisor.
Working in accordance with applicable safety, quality, and environmental requirements.

What we need

Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Soft Piping Pipefitter (synthetic) within the yacht or shipbuilding industry.
Ability to work independently based on technical drawings and isometrics.
Experience with synthetic piping systems and materials such as ABS, Flowfit, and Mapress.
Experience with attaching brackets.
Ability to read technical drawings independently.
Possession of a valid Dutch VCA certificate.
Good command of the Dutch and/or English language.
Accurate, quality-oriented, and safety-conscious.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
