Summary
We are looking for an experienced 141 TIG pipe welder and a pipe fitter for a specialist client in the maritime engineering sector. You will be working with steel, stainless steel and Cunifer pipework, with diameters from 25 mm and wall thicknesses from 3 mm. Valid TIG 141 welding certificates are required for the welder.
About the function

As a TIG Pipe Welder / Pipe Fitter, you will work on high-quality pipework systems for maritime projects. The pipe fitter is responsible for measuring, preparing, assembling and joining the pipework. The certified TIG welder is then responsible for welding the pipe joints to a high standard.

You will work with various pipe materials and diameters and must be able to work independently from technical drawings and isometrics.

The duties include:

  • Fabricating, assembling and fitting pipework.
  • Working with steel, stainless steel and Cunifer.
  • Working with pipe diameters of 25 mm and above.
  • Working with wall thicknesses of 3 mm and above.
  • Reading and interpreting technical drawings and isometrics.
  • Measuring, preparing and fitting pipe sections.
  • TIG tack welding of pipework by the pipe fitter.
  • TIG welding in accordance with process 141 by the certified pipe welder.
  • Checking dimensions, fit and quality.
  • Working in accordance with the applicable safety and quality regulations.

What we need
  • Extensive experience as a TIG pipe welder.
  • For the pipe fitter: extensive experience as a pipe fitter.
  • Valid 141 TIG welding certificates.
  • Experience in welding steel, stainless steel and Cunifer.
  • Experience with pipe diameters from 25 mm.
  • Experience with wall thicknesses from 3 mm.
  • Ability to read technical drawings and isometrics.
  • Ability to work independently, accurately and with a focus on quality.
  • Experience in shipbuilding or the maritime industry is a strong advantage.
