As a steel fabricator, you will be responsible for fabricating and assembling steel structures within the section fabrication department. You will work with relatively thin materials and make a significant contribution to the construction of luxury yachts.

Your duties will include:

• Machining and assembling steel structures
• Working with thin sheet metal (max. 8 to 10 mm)
• Fusion welding in all common positions using coated electrodes
• (particularly vertical down-hand welding, not layered)
• Oxy-fuel cutting with attention to thin material thicknesses
• Grinding and preparing materials
• Reading technical drawings and parts lists
• Assembling structures independently
• Checking components within construction kits
• Working with measuring equipment such as a theodolite and spirit level
• Safely moving materials using a crane

You will work both independently and as part of a team, and actively contribute to a safe and tidy working environment.

• Has demonstrable experience in shipbuilding and/or section construction
• Works with great precision and has an eye for detail and quality
• Can work independently from drawings
• Has experience with welding, flame cutting and grinding
• Works well both independently and as part of a team
• Is proficient in Dutch and/or English (Dutch is an advantage)
• Takes responsibility for a safe and clean workplace
