Summary

For a leading shipyard in luxury yacht building, we are looking for an experienced Aluminium Stretcher. In this position, you will work on high-quality aluminium deckhouses for exclusive superyachts, where precision and craftsmanship are paramount.

About the function

As an aluminium stretcher, you work within the aluminium department, where deckhouses for luxury yachts are built. Upon completion, these deckhouses are transported and installed on the yachts.

Your duties consist of:

Performing stretching work in accordance with an established Dutch-code stretching procedure
Carefully reading and applying instructions and procedures
Applying heat using a torch and/or TIG welding equipment to correct material
Ensuring dimensional accuracy within very tight tolerances (+2 mm / -4 mm)
Working with thin aluminium material (max. 8–10 mm)
Independently performing work and, if necessary, supervising an assistant stretcher
Ensuring a safe, clean, and organized workplace

The work takes place at locations in Papendrecht.

What we need

Proven experience as a stretcher, preferably in aluminium yacht building
Experience working according to procedures and technical instructions
Good command of Dutch, English, or Polish
Able to work with high precision within strict tolerances
Experience with TIG welding and/or working with a torch
Able to work independently and supervise an assistant
Problem-solving skills and flexibility in the work
Possesses with tools, including:TIG welding machine (complete with cables, hoses, and welding torch), Angle grinder, Cutting pliers
